Northern Ireland is the first place in the UK which is making the HPV vaccine available to men as well as women. The vaccine will be offered to men who sleep with men who are aged under 45 at Sexual Health Clinics across Northern Ireland.

Charities and Sexual Health groups continue to campaign for the vaccine to be offered to both men and women in all four countries of the United Kingdom. They say that only vaccinating half the population puts men at risk. In particular gay men.
