What is the Fast Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea Screen?
Better2Know’s Fast Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea Screen gets you quick results for these two common STIs. Your results will be back the same day your sample is received in the laboratory. We can test you for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea in your genital area, throat or rectum with fast results.
This screen is suitable for anyone who is particularly concerned about these infections. The incubation period for this screen is 14 days. This is the length of time between the last incident you are worried about and your test.

Which samples are needed?
Our Fast Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea Screen requires a urine or swab sample, depending on where you want to be tested. There are no fasting requirements for this test. If you choose the urine sample, you should be able to produce a urine sample at your appointment. We advise not to use the toilet during the two hours before your test.
How do I get my results?
Your results will be uploaded in your secure online Patient Area which you can access at any time using your unique PIN number. Our Patient Services team will also contact you by SMS, phone or email once your results are ready. Please let us know your preferred method of contact at the time of booking.
What if I test positive?
Both these STIs can be treated with a course of antibiotics. If you do test positive for Chlamydia or Gonorrhoea, Better2Know will provide you with a prescription. This can often be arranged by telephone to ensure you can access and begin your treatment as soon as possible.
